Welcome to the Golden Wheel in Surahammar.
The largest mc museum in Sweden.
The museum is run as a non-profit making association by the
Motorcycle History Club of Mälardalaen. (MCHK-Mälardalen)
We aim to show the development of two wheeled
transportation from the penny farthing through ordinary push-bikes up to the
glass fibre framed ITERA (which was a flop!). There are also a great number of mopeds
from the early 1950s onwards.

We also show a
number of so-called light motorcycles from the early 98 cc via the 1950s limit of 75 kg´s
to the present 125cc.
Of course there are many motorcycles from the
beginning of the century to the 1970s. We also have military motorcycles, even some
prototypes.

A number of motocross-, speedway- and road racing
(TT) motorcycles also are there for your admiration. Totally there are about 120 objects in
the Museum.

Each machine is owned by a club member and nearly
all are in roadworthy condition. Sometimes particular machines may be missing because the
owners have taken them to a rally or other sort of event. The "gaps" are filled by other bikes; so the Museum is
"alive" and you will always find something new to look at. Very welcome to an interesting visit in the two wheeled history! |
